Managing your bookings >> What do I do when a reservation has a rejected / declined credit card ?

When you receive an online reservation e-P Manager makes some pre-checks for you (e.g if the credit card provided will expire before the arrival date, if the number seems to be valid). If the card is declined then just click the Change Status TAB, then select "rejected credit card" from the list.

You will then be directed to a page featuring a short text (that you can edit in the Main Setup menu) requesting the guest to please send new or updated credit card information.

The booking will then be automatically placed on a list of rejected credit card. If the system is configured correctly and completly, then it will send another email reminder to the guest if they have not reply as yet. If there is no reply from the guest and the delay to hold the booking has come, the name will be blinking in red on the list alerting you that you can soon cancel it. An orange-coloured alert will also be displayed in the Booking Planner alerting you that you need to cancel some reservations with rejected / declined credit cards.
